3 nts Orange Walk, 6 nts Ambergris Caye

This holiday includes 3 nights in a remote jungle lodge situated in tropical forest on the edge of a lagoon and close to the jungle enshrouded Mayan Ruins of Lamanai. This is combined with a 6 night stay at Xanadu Island Resort which is near the town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Take a short boat ride to the beautiful underwater world of Hol Chan Marine Reserve or Mexico Rocks.

In the jungle you can expect to see Howler monkeys, crocodiles, toucans and many other birds whilst walking in the forest or boating on the lagoon.

The latter part of the holiday provides the opportunity to relax on the beach, kayak and snorkel the beautiful nearby corals, dive the barrier reef or take a catamaran sail along the coastline.

These prices are excluding international flights. Average flight prices to Belize range from £750 per person to over £1,000 per person at peak times (Christmas, Easter and Summer). Flight routes vary, quickest routes are via Miami, Houston or Atlanta and require a night stopover on the outbound journey and connecting overnight flights on the return. Day to Day

Below is an example day by day itinerary

Day 1

Fly from London to US. Overnight in nearby airport hotel (Room only).

Day 2

Arrive Belize City and transfer to Orange Walk. Travel by boat down the New River to Lamanai Outpost Lodge (BLD). (Approx. 2.5 hrs)

Day 3

Two further nights at Lamanai Outpost Lodge (BLD). Choose from 2 activities a day that include visit to Lamanai Mayan ruins, kayaking on lagoon, night spotlight river safari, early morning bird walks.

Day 4

Further day with activities (BLD).

Day 5

Transfer to Belize City and take a short propeller flight (approx. 15 mins) across the Caribbean Sea to the island of Ambergris Caye and stay at Xanadu Island Resort which is close to San Pedro town.

Day 6

Four further nights at Xanadu Island Resort. Excursions could include diving, snorkelling or fishing on the nearby Barrier Reef. A highlight for any stay at Ambergris Caye is to visit Hol Chan Marine Reserve where you can snorkel and see a variety of tropical reef fish, diverse corals and get up close to stingrays, turtles, moray eels and nurse sharks.
