Kayaking can be done in the jungle along rivers and lagoons or into caves to see Mayan relics. Alternatively kayak on the ocean along the coast or around the cayes to view the reef from a different perspective.

Several jungle lodges have stables attached where you can enjoy the surrounding environment on horseback.
Hiking
There are many beautiful hiking trails in Belize backcountry. Guided hikes are available at most jungle lodges and can provide an excellent opportunity to view local wildlife and birds. Set against a spectacular backdrop of the Maya mountains the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife sanctuary has a number of marked trails that can be explored independently.
