Adventure in Belize

Visit the Cayo district and have some adventures in the jungle. There you will take an unforgettable journey into the Mayan underworld by entering the cave of Actun Tunichil Muknal. The trip includes a 45 minute hike to the entrance of cave, then short swim and climb over rocks and deep into the cave to reach the caverns which the ancient Mayans used for ceremonial purposes. The following days you take a leisurely kayak along the Macal River to spot wildlife as you go and end with a night hike. On the last day, you will walk to one of the viewpoints offering beautiful views over the area surrounding the lodge.
Next travel to nearby Guatemala for an overnight stay in the protected rainforest surrounding the well excavated and fascinating Mayan Site of Tikal. Climbing the temples affords stunning views of this forest that is a haven to a diversity of birdlife and wildlife including toucans, oropendulas, howler monkeys, spider monkeys and coatis. Then transfer along the scenic Hummingbird Highway to stay in a jungle lodge in the Mayflower Bocawina Park. Experience the zipline adventure course onsite and hike the waterfalls.
Then take a short propeller flight to the laid back island of Caye Caulker to relax for a few days or experience the spectacular snorkelling and diving of the Belize Barrier Reef. You may see Eagle Rays, nurse sharks and turtles as well as an array of tropical fish and coral.

Day to Day Itinerary
Below is an example day by day itinerary
Day 1
International flight to US. Overnight in nearby airport hotel (Room only).
Day 2
Fly from US to Belize City. Met and transferred to Black Rock Lodge in Cayo district (approx. 2 hours). Onsite activities can include swimming in the creek, early morning guided bird walks, day and night walks and much more. Overnight at Black Rock Lodge (BLD).
Day 3
In the morning, you will take a leisurely kayaking tour on the Macal River, until you reach Sweet Songs Lodge. You may see large green female iguanas, even bigger orange male iguanas,
Toucans, Kingfishers and hummingbirds. In the evening you will take a guided night walk and may spot red-eye tree frogs, bats, spiders, snakes and the possibility of a kinkajou or armadillo. Overnight at Black Rock Lodge (BLD).
Day 4

Day 5
Today you will take a guided hike on the grounds of Black Rock Lodge, your guide will point out native flora and fauna. You may traverse the Macal River and take a physical hike the other side affording views across the canyon. Overnight Black Rock Lodge (BLD).
Day 6
Guided tour of Tikal Mayan Ruins in nearby Guatemala before staying overnight at the Jungle Lodge in the Tikal National Park (BLD). Tikal Mayan Ruins have been extensively excavated, though still set amongst dense jungle with a diversity of birds and wildlife. Although simple,the jungle lodge has a fantastic location close to the park, howler monkeys may wake you in the night with their territorial howl and spider monkeys can be found hanging out in the trees around the pool (BLD).
Day 7
Transfer back across the border to Belize and stop for lunch at a restaurant on the way, then continue transfer along the scenic Hummingbird Highway to the Bocawina Rainforest Resort which has a unique location within the Mayflower Bocawina Park. Adventure Canopy Zipline course where you will fly through the jungle canopy on 12 different zipline platforms. Overnight at Bocawina Rainforest Resort (BLD).
Day 8
Walk down the trail from Bocawina Rainforest Resort to the foot of Bocawina Falls. You are somewhat likely to encounter some rainforest animals such as snakes or armadillos. Take a refreshing swim and relax in the waterfall pools below. Overnight at Bocawina Rainforest Resort (BLD).
Day 9
You will be transferred to nearby Dangriga town and take two short propeller flights to Caye Caulker via Belize City. Overnight Seaside Cabanas (B).
Day 10
Days at leisure to relax and enjoy the laid back island vibe of Caye Caulker where the motto is "Go Slow". Experience the spectacular underwater world of the Belize Barrier Reef. Snorkelling and diving trips can take place to nearby reefs, fishing trips, ocean kayaking and paddle boarding can be arranged. Overnight Seaside Cabanas (B).
